Scrappy Wrapping

A messy worker am I.  Usually end up surrounded by discarded scraps of cloth and thread.

When the scraps get too distracting, I gather them up and store them in glass bowls, jars, flowerpots...

When my fingers need something to do, I wrap them around a core of string one scrap or bundle of thread at a time...

Perhaps some rusty bits and pieces could be used as frames or borders.

  7. Yummy colours! Is it for the component bin, or do you have a project in mind? I have boxes of bits that could use that treatment. Perhaps, not quite so sunny, but it would be a fun, in-between project. What type of string do you wrap? Is it fairly thick?

that is how Nat taught me to make my baskets...very meditative fabric play. I must get back to my basket, it needs handles.
