He loves the rugged and watery parts of Canada....
and his love of that landscape shows in his paintings...
If you live in Ontario, you know all about "The One of a Kind" show at The Ex from November 25th to December 5th. Do go and visit Mark at his booth number J-4 and tell him his mother says "hi". I haven't seen him for ages!
i'd love to go and see Mark's work, great landscapes and use of colour. Takes after his Mom!
ReplyDeleteThe quiet yet powerful beauty of the last landscape just calls to me: the color of the leaves against the white snow, witnessed by the grove of guardian trees, sentinels in winter, is captivating.
ReplyDeletethe water in that second image is amazing. how proud you must be.
ReplyDeleteWonderful textures in his work. I especially like the bottom painting. Luscious color and beautiful textures!
ReplyDeleteMark's work is truly amazing!!! I thought that the last time I checked out his website. It tells a story of the land, the elements and the harsh climate. Very reminiscent of the Group of Seven work.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I'll make it to the OOAK this year(I'm avoiding temptation), but if I do I'll pass on your message!
The top painting looks like a place that BIll and I visit here in Puget Sound! I love them all! You must be a very proud Mom! I wish I could go visit and see these in person.

My favourite paintings have always included the wind-swept pines, so I do really like his work. I'm hoping to get to the show so I'll look for him.
