Coming to Toronto......

For those of you living in Ontario
The Artist Project runs from February 22 - 28
at the Better Living Centre, Exhibition Place,
195 Princes Boulevard, Toronto.

And as usual Mark will be there
with his gorgeous Georgian Bay landscapes.
You can find him at Booth #536
Do go and have a chat!

And this year I am happy to say
a friend of mine, Nadine Belliveau, from Baie Sainte-Marie
will also be there at Booth #319....

....with her beautiful acrylic Nova Scotian landscapes.

Stoney Beach Inspiration

And so December arrives

And speckled stones still dot our shorelines

Some stones look like the land
or perhaps a map of the land

But all stones reflect their life experiences
as do we

Some are cut deep beneath
beneath barely visible scars

Some are so smooth
their life experience is barely visible

Others are fragile and so delicate
but often the strongest among us.

As they gather on our Western shores
they get to experience sunsets
like streaks of colour against soft grey skies

This streaky sunset in particular made me think of Mark's skies

Look For Mark Berens At The Artist Project

If you are in Toronto or it's environs you might be interested in
dropping by Booth 927 at the Artist Project
in the Better Living Centre, Exhibition Place, Toronto.
That is where our talented Mark
will be found from February 18-21.

As you can see his studio is bursting
with new paintings
of his beautiful renderings of Georgian Bay.

Some of his smaller paintings are lovely tree tops.

I have always loved his water over rocks.

From Mark's Studio

Think he's going through his orange phase!

Currently hanging at Brights Gallery
in Blue Mountain Village

If you live nearby they are having a reception for Mark
on July 6th from 4 to 7 p.m.
Go and tell him you know his mother!

Work in progress

Don't you love how he has placed that background barn going off the picture

My favourites are always the Georgian Bay watery ones

Donna's Jewellery

I think I've mentioned Donna's jewellery before.
Today I wanted to share her silver trees with you
simply because I love them

and I love Donna too.
because she loves my son Mark!

They are a creative couple

dedicated to their art and each other.

Thinking of Mark

We've been thinking of Mark this weekend
who is participating in a show at the wonderful McMichael Gallery
in Kleinburg..
If you're nearby
do go and drop by.....you'll love his work.

I love these trees on a rocky shore.

And just look at how he makes that water sparkle.

Mark is brilliant at bringing water to life....

Mark is a Pisces.....

You'd think that his family would have put two and two together....

But no, it took a stranger wandering into Mark's gallery
"The Artist's Den" in Collingwood
to point that out!
