A Fundy Walk

The rusty pups, Brett and I walked a Fundy Trail.

Because I can't bring it home, I often photograph driftwood and flotsam and Jetsam.
Do you see the deer's head?

I wasn't the only one taking pictures.

Not exactly Niagara falls or Iguazu falls
but a stream emptying out into the Bay.

Pebbly Circles

It was so very cold on the beach...
too cold to fiddle with cameras.
So I brought home the pebbles that caught my eye.

Some pebbles grow into circles....

some wrap themselves in circles..

and others decorate themselves with circle designs.
Perhaps they are all shouting "pick me"!

A Sunny Linear Day

Row upon row of simple stitching grows on my rusty gate cloth.

Row upon row of white puffy clouds floats above a blue Fundy horizon.

As the tide comes in the rusty pups follow the scent of what or who was here before us.

With cold noses and tingling fingertips we also search for beachy finds.
For me today it is striped pebbles that catch my eye.

Driftwood Tree

Sometimes.....

the driftwood caught on the dike.....

is just too big for me to bring home.

Fishing Around the Fundy Shore

A small lighthouse stands above a tiny fishing port that is home to about five boats...

It's low tide.  All the lobster boats are out.  They can't get back into port until the next high tide....

I am fascinated by the old, decaying wooden walls of this tiny harbour...

We come here to walk this rocky beach...

And perhaps find art supplies.
