Ready to be Adopted!

All that snow melted outside under a barrage of rain.
Inside a snowbound tree still remains
but not for long.
It is ready to go forth and be adopted
at the Community Arts Centre fundraiser.

Actually today I would be happy to adopt out some rusty pups...
...muddy paw-prints everywhere!

  3. I want the rusty pups!!!! I don't care that we can't have dogs in our building - I want the rusty pups anyway (muddy prints and all). Oh yeah, and a great Christmas tree you've created.

  4. Your tree is beautiful, a perfect Christmas adornment. I love the overall white effect and the subtle way you added colour with the stitches.

  5. I love your tree! I'm sure it will go to a very welcoming family. As for the pups -- well get out the mop and remember all the joy they give you the rest of the time! *smile*

  11. Lovely and oh so controlled? Was it hard for you to do? I do so love an all white/cream colour scheme, especially when it's heavily embellished. How did you join the edges? By hand or machine?

  12. Because Anne Marie asked ... The four triangle shapes are sewn together on the sewing machine using the zig-zag stitch. Two triangles are laid down right sides together. A length of thick white thread is laid along the edge to be sewn. The zig-zag is then done over the edges being sewn together . One side of the zig-zag goes through the triangle pieces and the other side stitches over the thick thread thus trapping it along the edge.
    Does that make sense?
