  3. So beautiful. I never used to like oranges and purples together, and yet I've come to like it more and more...works well here.

  5. From what I recall, my hand embroidery from the 50's doesn't look anything like that. It's beeeutifulll!!!!!! I think I remember a very messy little scottie dog and not much else. I guess I caught the needle/thread facination much later than you did.

  7. Beautiful embroidery...I used to sit and watch my maternal Grandmother embroider. She would come and visit with us and sit and stitch for hours. Unfortunately she didnt have the patience to teach/allow us to stitch...she couldnt get past my messiness on the back of the cloth!

It must be nice for you to look back and remember the time you stitched this. My Grandmother would have been proud of your stitching.

  8. How nice, I would like to learn how to properly embroider, but as you say the lack of time is a problem.
Too many project and such short time!

  9. Oh, my, Jacky has reminded me of how it was drummed into me that the back had to be as neat as the front. Funny how today, I often find a messy back more beautiful than the front!
