Threads of Thought on creating with cloth and stitch
that's because the top side of most deciduous tree foliage is designed to be like a raincoat. the underside has the pores and also gives the best print. Eucalypts have pores on both sides so as to harvest as much water as possible [being a dry climate tree] and so they also print from both sides.
This first picture looks like a heavily embossed stitchery - might that happen one day?
What an enchanting forest, it must be a true pleasure to walk among those beautifully coloured trees.
The leaf colours are really gorgeous!
