Of Sea Glass and Rocky Shores

A gathering of sea glass.....

Solitary sea glass....

No sea glass to be found.... well I thought so until I saw the buttons....

Perhaps I was thinking sea glass when I added the velvet circles.

Doodles can be the start of something new.

And something new starts today...

My man becomes an old age pensioner.

Rain Soaked

Wet deck.....

Wet grass....

Dripping tree......

Rain watcher on the front porch and squirrel watcher in the distance.
Today is day six of rain.
We are soaking.
There must be many a leaky roof and damp basement.
Our bridge across the stream nearly got swept away.
The talking heads on TV talk of rainfall records being broken,
Bursting rivers and flooded homes
Washed out roads
A dam in danger of bursting and evacuation of a village.
And the search for a young man swept into the sea.
May he be found safe and sound.

And Still it Rains....

"The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain" ..wise words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

But things still happen in the rain....

Bits and pieces were auditioned on the tree cloth.....

and some things love the rain.

A walk up our stream

We have had rain and wind for one day and are expecting three more days of this. The stream is full to the brim...

It is babbling and bouncing it's way past trees and rocks...

The calm waters of the pond on the left spill out into the stream and the excitement starts...

The pond is fed by a mountain stream back in the distance and somewhere beneath this photo is where is tumbles into the babbling stream.

Masked Bandit

Caught in the act at dusk!  We play mind games with each other.  Sometimes we think that he won't come tonight...but we're wrong and in the morning we find the feeder empty on the grass.  Sometimes he gets nothing 'cos we remember to take the feeder in for the night.

When the Night had a Thousand Eyes...

....dragons and their families lived in caves and were protectors of princesses and other treasures. I reckoned dragonflies were part of the picture too. Made this many years ago. Gosh winter must be coming, I'm looking backwards.
