Walking Hot and Cold

To the left of us it looked like a warm summery sunrise.

But looking left over the basin it's obviously wintry cool.

Cracked ice covers the tidal grasses in rounded mounds.
(Ha, there was a printed cotton in the 90's we used to call 'cracked ice'.)
(I used it a lot.)
Back to the sewing machine today.

  1. The sewing machine is a good place to be on a cold winter's day!

  2. Isn't it good to be able to take refuge among fabrics from the wintery weather!

  3. There is something "clothy" about that last ice photo - the frozen water is draped over the grasses.

  4. Gosh can feel the chill simply looking at the photos.
That last one is a gem though!

  5. Your nature photos bring back, with pangs of reminiscence, my time in Nova Scotia - three years in the early 80s. Ah, those winters!!
The stitching is inspiring, to say the least.
