Bending in the Wind

 Nearly there
And so happy to have taken the trouble to remove the messy wind of before!
When you look straight on you hardly notice the wind at all now.
But....

....moving around and looking at angles
the wind can be seen a shimmering there.

 A few leaves are dancing
all that's left.

The winds have been strong here these last few days
We lost a couple
Snapped off half way down

Contemplating whether to enter the woods
where trees are blown over
on windy days just like this
but
out in the meadow
 lean into the wind
or be blown to and fro
like rag dolls I fear.

Back at the car it's sheltered thank goodness

And back home there's a couch for
pooped Rusty Pups
to collapse on!

  2. not all trees (people) know how to bend when the wind is strong, Penny ...

  3. so interesting to follow your thoughts on your inspiration & how you look, think and review your work, the next morning. Often one (meaning, me) thinks that creativity comes to others easily, so it is heartening to know that others also second-guess their work sometimes too.
It's lovely to see dogs so contented after having a walk, I know our two dogs thoroughly enjoy their outings.

  4. The shape of your tree is just beautiful and it shines now and I love the way you see the wind from the side. The tree reminds me of a postcard I had - probably still have if I could remember where! - of a Chinese painting. I loved that tree and callled it the dancing tree. Contented pups. xx

  5. So, so precious these posts, Penny! I can't tell you how much you inspire and make me happy! LOVE the wind stitches-complex and beautifully quiet, like the wind!

  6. Your brave instinct to unpick was so right, the tree is beautiful as it bends into the wind, unseen but felt when you are at the right angle to it. Our wind here is at it's most boisterous when taking a stroll by the sea; a "fresh sea breeze" as we optimistic coastal dwellers call it, while holding scarves close round our necks!!!
Your rusty pups are growing strong

  7. I'm astonished you managed to wear out the Rusty Pups, even taking them out in half a gale!
