The first Week in May

Looking Back at the week that was

On May Day we lost a friend to cancer
He had a passion for cycling
and did just that all the way across Canada
He even wrote a song
'Put me Ashes in me Bike Pump'
Last summer he cycled Newfoundland
Now I will think of him biking among the stars at night.

The next two days of stitching
asked for some added buttonhole stitch.

and Saturday needed a woven strip.

  1. a fitting tribute to your cyling friend. better than a paper journal.

  2. ...and how will you depict a star-hopping bicycle pump I wonder!

  3. Sorry to hear about your friend. How lovely to think of him cycling through the stars.

  4. I'm sorry for your loss, but you will have a constant reminder of your friend as well as your memories!

  5. A lovely way to remember a dear friend.

  6. So sorry to hear about your friend. Your bicycle stitching is a lovely tribute.

  7. Such a fitting tribute to your friend - I'm sure he is pleased to know you did that, and the lovely memories you have of him.
