We woke to a new white
clinging thickly to all the trees.
Tree ghosts rise above the woods
whenever I photograph through half open bedroom windows
as if they're marching down the mountain
to shelter by the stream.
You might be bored with snow covered trees...
but it's my blog
and I record what inspires moi!
Mind you a warm Caribbean beach might inspire me right now too!
And just because I haven't shown you rusty pups lately...
they're waiting for Handy Hubby who's down the drive picking up
his morning reading.
March daily scratchings
has started with a new strip of natural dyed linen.
For some reason a braided tail asked to announce the arrival or March.
rusty pup right looks like "i'm ready for my close-up" whereas rusty pup left is "oh, i'm having a bad hair day, please." i'm not going to complain about seeing your lovely vistas - beats what i see out my window any day...city scape!
ReplyDeleteall hail March.
Ani...you captured their personalities perfectly!
Deletecan't remember if i commented yesterday, so forgive me if i repeat myself....i really reallllly like your daily scratchings!
ReplyDeleteThank you Vicky!
DeleteReal winter weather, I see.
ReplyDeleteThe braided tail is an interesting beginning!
Not as wintry as most years.
Deletei enjoy seeing you snow images since we don't get that here. so soft and calming.
ReplyDeleteSoft and calming when you don't have to go out and brave rush hour traffic anymore!
DeleteA braid image was in my recent post... but a written kind.... I like that your cloth has a tail. And I'll never tire of snow covered trees, especially 2nd and 3rd shots - they have those ghostly layers that are my main inspiration right now!
ReplyDeleteYes, ghost trees dancing above the woods...just love them.
DeleteGorgeous trees, those photos are lovely. We've had almost zero snow here in Toronto and I miss it! This warm winter has sucked.
ReplyDeleteYour sampler is looking so beautiful.
I know, hardly a winter at all. I'm wondering if there's still time for the powers that be above to make up for it in the next few weeks!
DeleteI feel exactly like Deanna, I love seeing your pictures of snow, it gives me a feeling of eternity.
ReplyDeleteYou are right...being in the middle of a snowstorm give me that feeling too; but also calmness and serenity. Then on the other hand when I had to face rush hour traffic in the getting to work days, those snows caused so much chaos and trouble.
Deletei love going for a walk on these days. everything is so hushed and still. very calming and restful. then i like to go in for a nice mug of hot chocolate. mmm. great way to spend a day.
