Scratching a New Year

I have decided to continue

recording my days in stitch.
and as it snowed Mark's Donna celebrated a birthday.

We have had the most snow
the lowest temperatures since moving to the Maritimes.

This year I am going raw edged again.
This year I am going to add smaller bits and pieces
of cloth to a base rather than the long strips used in the past.
This year the stitches might flow from one day to the next.
Every evening after dinner I will sit down and scratch away!

  1. That's a great idea - keeping the idea of the scratchings, but changing some of the application, to keep it fresh.

  2. Does that say -22c?? I can't even imagine how cold that must feel! Beautiful textured stitches as always.

  3. i look forward to watching from afar as you stitch and look and play with the pups.

  4. This stitch journal will become more important with each year. It is a huge time commitment however, and my hat is off to you.

On and on and on we go.xx

  5. I will picture you at this time of the year, sitting down after dinner in the warmth of your home telling the day's tale through stitch.

  6. I envy your commitment! I don't think I could do that every evening without fail...

Enjoy your stitching.....I'll just watch out for the results :-)

  7. I admire your commitment and enjoy following the outcome.

  8. So glad, my year started in August so I will go until then and reasses. I am loving doing it, but yours is much more interesting than mine!

  9. I'm glad to hear that you've decided to carry on with your's always such a delight to see what your week has been like and how you translate it so effectively into stitch. Yay!

  10. I am so glad you are continuing with your scratchings...looking forward to following along another year through your beautiful work!
