Early morning
Heavy darkened clouds
Scudding across the basin
Beyond the North Mountain
Over the Bay of Fundy
The skies are light and bright
Luckily the skies soon lightened
allowing the sun to shine down on my favourite piece of driftwood
I imagine it holds many secrets
And tales
Of yesteryear
That driftwood is is wonderful pearly grey colour, isn't it!
ReplyDeleteYes, gorgeous colour and so organic.
DeleteThe driftwood is wonderful. I'm making up a story myself for the rock being embedded within it.
ReplyDeleteI know, fascinating isn't it.
DeleteLovely flowing lines in this wood, Penny, that I expect will find their way into your scratchings. Hi to the RPs from Flossy, sus
ReplyDeleteAnd a yap or perhaps even a lick back to Flossy!
DeleteI can imagine all sorts of fantasy forest creatures dwelling within that driftwood! So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnd perhaps some raccoons and mice too!
DeleteWe get *heavy* skies just like that...must be something to do with being surrounded by water. Good driftwood ;>]]
ReplyDeleteI suppose the water has a lot to do with it....certainly adds to the variety of skies we get. And then some mornings we can't even see the sky 'cos of the fog.
DeleteEvery now and then I search Google images for a picture that matches my mood to put on my wallpaper. It just occurred to me that so many of yours fit that search. Do you often use your pics there to remember your treks?
ReplyDeletexx, Carol
Well, Carol, I suppose the whole purpose of this blog is to put those pictures somewhere where I can easily retrieve them and get inspired or started on a new piece.
