Closing Cloth of Time

Handy Hubb and Nick (from the Craft Council) and I
took down the show on Monday.

I just wanted to take some time to thank all of you who came to see
Judy's and my work and
even signed our visitors book.
I have only just started reading through the many pages
of visitors
It is going to take me some time!

Some words that appeared often
Truly delicious

And of course I would like to thank
and it's Director, Susan Charles
who was so supportive of our work.

I have to say that I do not expect anybody to actually read all of this!
I don't usually have so much text in my posts
I wanted to keep some of the words written for myself.
It might help improve my own writing
about my own work!

  1. Yes, what others say sometimes helps to find another way of expressing something. It seems as though the exhibition was a great success, giving visitors much to delight in.

  2. Thank you for sharing these comments Penny! I am so happy that our exhibition was enjoyed by many visitors. xo

  3. I loved reading the articulate comments from the viewers. How your work is perceived is gold for the artists who put so much into this truly wonderful exhibition. Clearly your work touched many people.

  4. I read all of it, and with delight, my only regret being that I could not visit your and Judy's exhibition.

  5. for people to look and take the time to write about what they're thinking while/after looking is a wonderful gift for you and judy.

  6. Wish I could have been there!

  7. Of course I read to the end and I'm so happy that the show was such a success (not that I had one moment of doubt). Having a visitors book is a wonderful resource too - who wouldn't want to read all those flattering things about their work!! (and, I might add, they are well deserved!).

  8. Such lovely comments from your visitors.xx

  9. Penny, your work is so truly inspirational and the beautiful stitches that tell your story are just like a lifeline for each of us. The time and investment of self is evident. The commitment and the dedication - be so very proud of all of your accomplishments. Just so wish I could have been there to see the works side by side!
See you at Crieff with time for long talks! Bethany xxo
