Decided to record that the dye pots had been busy all week
Don't you love the bundles about to drop in!
My favourite scratching so far.
Then we had to celebrate Handsome Harry's mate
Hope you can tell which is which
She has painted her toenails.
You can see from the pin holes that
I started off giving her Minnie Mouse red shoes
but they just weren't her!
She's followed by the ugliest scratching so far
way too orderly.
Getting ideas wherever I go
Rows of satin stitch surrounded by a mass of cross stitches?
Have a nice day
Just had a worrying time with Picassa
something got corrupted
Handy Hubby worked hard
Hope all is well
oh penny, i just *love* your scratchings! all of them! those dropping dye bundles are marvelous and handsome harry's mate's toenails are too adorable!! i always enjoy my visits to your blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe!
DeleteLOVE these scratchings! The fungii are very exciting! I've always thought they were a great inspiration for cloth or stitches and I look forward to seeing your interpretation.
ReplyDeleteCatherine...I see you are re-emerging!
DeleteHi Penny
ReplyDeleteThe pots are a perfect addition. Those stiches may be orderly, but there is a reason you added them. I like the color they add, and the contrast. Mrs. Harry's toenails are the bomb!! Great stitching.
Oh yes, I know exactly why they are there...a long evening of fundraising for our arts centre was stressing me out. Thankfully it turned out better than I expected.
DeleteLove that expression "....the bomb!"
Wonderful stuff. I adore your stylized herons!
ReplyDeleteHey Angie...Have you finished that gorgeous tapestry yet?

DeleteSuch a joyful feeling from your dye pots and bundles - and even without the toe nails, you have really caught the female heron. Gorgeous lichen photos, too!
ReplyDeleteSome scratchings turn out better than others.
Deletedelightful scratchings.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deanna
Deleteooh little dye pots, love em, and i'm sorry but i like your double helix. you have beautiful fungi up there, such inspiration for a stitcher, even a knitter could work with them.
ReplyDeleteEspecially a knitter of magical things like you!
DeleteToe nails - great idea!! And the dye pots are delightful.
ReplyDeleteToenails seemed a bit more elegant than red shoes!

ReplyDeletethe herons of ithaca are moving my world.
Penny- I DO love the dye pots and teeny tiny bundles!! And the toe nails and the vision and even what you term the "ugliest scratching so far"...which to me looks like DNA! Grand here as usual :)
