Rocks can find themselves in the strangest of places.
Here a couple are balancing on upended tree roots.
They must be so surprised to find themselves living about 5 feet off the ground!
The big one is not small either!
I have the messiest, untamed woods.
That's why my blog has it's name!
Yeah, but its a great place to see the unusual. Lots of people don't take the time to even LOOK. Makes me wonder what I miss seeing in my own yard.
ReplyDeleteNice to know the origin of your blog name... and my forest is messy, too... I think they are when they are doing what they do. My mother feels the urge to pick up all the branches and "clean' the forest... Sometimes I like to do that, but I'd need a staff to actually achieve a clean forest. And then it would be a park, so I don;t even try....
ReplyDeletemaybe it's a message from the rock wizard?
ReplyDeleteHow in the heck did it get UP there??? It's kind of cool though. Hope it doesn't fall on some poor ground dweller.

In my years as a geologist I have NEVER seen or heard about rocks found on tree branches! Must be a new evolution trick.
ReplyDeleteThe magic is in the mysterious - and rocks high above the ground are certainly that. I love it!
