Steven’s Day of Memory

Missing you and loving you, Steven.
We were complete for 21 years when you were still here.
I have often comforted myself with the thought that you had gone before us because you had completed your destiny before the rest of us and that made you more precious and special than all the rest of us.
It is hard to believe it’s been 31 years since you were torn from your brothers and from your Dad and me.
The memories do not fade and we all hold them close to our hear.

Love and hugs

  1. Coincidentally, I’m reading the final chapter of Neil Peart’s book Ghost Rider, so can’t imagine what you lived through. I lost my coolest friend that day, along with my child-like sense that we were invulnerable, and so many stories about Steve live on decades later, but as a dad of kids around the age Steve was, I can’t imagine what you went through and how you did it. Sending love to all of you!

  4. and sending a virtual hug to you Penny. It's not the right order of things to have a child go before us.

  7. Those are beautiful thoughts. I hold them close when I think of my daughter whom I’ve missed and loved since she left almost 27 years ago. ❤️
