Seven Days Scratched

One day at a time

Weaving on a Monday
Doctors on a Tuesday

On misty mornings that spiders and their webs are easily seen

Athletes from all over the world are running at great speeds this week
and on Saturday Handy Hubby found a lovely white feather

For Sunday I had to record the end of the Olympics

Think my favourite is the Kantha feather.

  1. I'm going to miss watching the Games. Back to the old routine, but at least I got a couple of do dads crocheted.

  2. I adore that weaving Penny. I'm loving my experiments in tapestry weaving. And I also saw some beautiful spiders' webs the other day in the early morning mist (http://www.palomachaffinch.com/2012/08/spiders-web.html)

    1. Oh what a wondrous web we weave!
I was thinking of you on my walk today...Thinking what a great pack you and me and your three black beauties and my two rusty pups would make!

  5. I love the weaving! I've only tried once to weave anything and it was a very sad experimentation. So I always love to see it done - by someone else!

  8. Penny,
I just love these pieces you are doing. What a great visual diary. I am inspired. I have a few Kantha pieces recently acquired which I marvel at all of the stitches. This work we do goes on and on into the future for someone to see someday. Isn't that a great thought? Imagine.

    1. Oh, you lucky girl actually having some Kantha pieces! And yes, I hope my boys settle down with partners who are interested because they really aren't!

  9. Did you get bitten by that spider? was that the reason for the doc visit? it looks like an Aussie redback spider, that would have sent you packing but i don't think you have them there. Your stitching is always inspiring.

  10. Lovely scratchings, Penny! When we were visiting my relatives in England in May, we came across a few little white feathers and both of my cousins said that they were a sign that angels had been there! I am SURE that must be right! Dontcha think?
