Shore Lines, Cloud Lines, Nibbled Lines

An afternoon with the beach all to ourselves.
We thought we spied a water spout
but they surely not in this part of the world.
Wonder what caused that.

Low tide reveals sandy undulations.....potential stitching lines for someone like me.

Reminded me of some logs back in the woodpile
with inspiring undulations created by tiny critters tunnelling under bark.

There are lines and markings here....

just waiting to be interpreted in stitch.

  1. fabulous image of the ripples in the water with the reflection of the sun.

  2. Oh my goodness, what wonderful photos! That second one of the water, so subtle but so There! Love them all.

  3. A day at the beach can bring out the best in everyone!

  4. Love theae textures Penny! I can't wait to see what you do with them.

  5. Fascinating textures on the wood. I'm sure all those wide open skies add to the general feeling of inspiration!

  6. the wood texture would be fun to make a rubbing of...wonder if it could be done on fabric with..a crayon? shiva sticks? wonder if you could get a 'rubbing' of the sand ripples???

  7. What a beautiful series of photographs! Love them!
