Lobster boats left high and dry
at low tide
Anyone need a bike?
Playing king of the castle
on seaweed covered rock
When left high and dry boats are propped up
so they don't topple over
Sea birds float freely whether low or high tide
There's always rust to be found
A lobster fisherman needs mountains of traps
miles of strong sturdy rope
and
many a buoy
and of course rusty anchors
Cool!. Where were the pics taken?
ReplyDeleteDelaps Cove and Parkers Cove.
Deletei do like the look of that bollard!
ReplyDeleteGreat potential there n'est ce pas!
DeleteThere are so many fascinating shapes and spaces at the coast, aren't there!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, and how they manage to take boats in and out with our extreme tides is fascinating to watch too.
DeleteLots to look at - shapes and tones and I'll mentally add in the sounds and the smells of the area.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, the smell of sea air mingled with the smell of yucky lobster bait!
DeleteSeeing that last picture made me have a sudden thought (and yes, it hurt...lol)...I wonder if that could be printed onto cloth and used in an art piece? It wouldn't be possible to wrap that wonderful rustiness but maybe printing it would be an idea?
ReplyDeleteHa! No self inflicting of wounds please!
DeleteYes, that rust was very tempting...unfortunately those are constantly in use still.
