Another week gone by.
Mighty winds have swept up the valley all weekend long.
Like nature's spring cleaner
blowing fresh air through the woods
ripping off dust and debris
whipping waves into a frenzy
polishing snow and ice into smooth and slippery surfaces
sending clouds scurrying overhead.
The woods are alive with dancing trees.
Snow clinging to grasses...
...bring to mind the daily scratchings.
i love your dancing trees, they really come to life
ReplyDeleteLike some knitted ones I have hanging in my studio!
DeleteEvery time I see this I'm amazed at what you've come up with. It's lovely. The waves are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I get too elaborate and it takes up a lot of my day!
DeleteAs long as the wind is not breaking many limbs. :) I love to see your scratchings. Did you draw any doodles over the weekend??
ReplyDeleteThere will be a few new approaches from my sketchbook posted this week.
DeleteYour words are so poetic...just the right touch to your beautiful stitches and photos.
ReplyDeleteTrying not to be too wordy!
DeleteI can see the wind in your stitching, Penny.
ReplyDeleteYour photos from Sunday looked very calm and windless indeed! Loved the rocks.
DeleteLove the windswept trees and the curling waves!
ReplyDeleteI designed patterns! And you are writing about our tendency to create pattern and how difficult it is to be random.
DeleteI love your stitching. Looking at it one can feel the pleasure you have doing it.
ReplyDeleteI especiallly love that spiral :-)
ReplyDeleteNature's spring cleaner; I like that a lot. Like Susan, I see the wind in your stitches too.
ReplyDeleteHieroglyphics, runes, magical glyphs.
ReplyDeleteSo much story being told in this piece of stitching. It's amazing really.
