Some trees around the duckpond have very distinctive markings
They seem to be where branches used to be.
Like Kantha stitched triangles.
Meanwhile back in the studio
I have started stitching some beginnings on a new piece.
Paths that meet in places.
And some paths that meander more than others.
Hope your paths are clearly marked today!
A friend in Colorado pointed out to me that the trunks of aspen trees have markings that appear to be eyes. I'm not good at tree identification so I have no idea if your trees are also aspens, but the markings are much the same.
ReplyDeleteAnd that madder-colored meander is a wonder ... I look forward to seeing where this cloth goes ... literally and metaphorically
Goodness, if only one had a clear path ahead. Never mind, it's also good to watch someone else's wanderings!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your amazing photography and for sharing your stitch adventures with us throughout the year. May your path be clear. Happy holidays to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteYou see stitch marks in so many aspects of nature and this is no exception. Somehow I expect we'll see the influence of these marks in your future stitchings. Looking forward to seeing what is evolving from your clever needle now.
