Finally on May first the Rusty Pups and I walked the dike.
Snow still clung to the nooks and crannies.
I do not love Winter temperatures
nor the difficulties in getting around on ice and snow
but I do love the colours....
...and the random patterns created by naked trees.
The tide was low
as was the cloud ceiling.
We disturbed a heron.
Gosh those clouds felt oppressive
Perhaps if I stood on tiptoe
I could touch them
and move them along
to let the sun shine through.
Oh how I love these pictures. They are a special treat as I continue to get buried in green - can't see the mountains anymore. I too love the shapes of winter, especially the bare branches of the trees.

ReplyDeleteYes, the colours are something of a compensation for the weather, aren't they!
ReplyDeleteI feel your frustration. I live in Northern B.C. been a follower for more than a year. I know that I'm fairing better than the east coast of Canada, so I send you much blue skies. Just close your eyes and feel the summer heat in your garden. Its that hot here!
