Unfinished and Homeless

Sometimes a piece of cloth speaks out loud
telling you what it wants

It was about five years ago..perhaps longer
that I was driven to work on this small piece.

But it has remained unfinished all these years.
It's not that I don't like it.
Wonder why it is hanging around patiently waiting!

  1. I love this! It reminds me of our moss garden with the roots from the other plants growing underneath the moss. Its beautiful and I'm sure you'll find a good use for it.

  3. Ha, I wonder what happened : was it just formed into ripples when you
pulled the thread real tight while stitching .... or ... did you make pleats and stitched over them .... ???
I like it ;-) very organic (but that's probably because of the colour ...)

  7. It looks a little like a series of field boundaries and trackways...

  8. Penny... this one has your name all over it! The colour, the stitch, the raised pathways snaking across the landscape you dyed or painted - all calling to be included in a new springtime creative adventure with you!
I am sure that it has been hiding out long enough and that is why the calling started!
I will be watching to see where the new adventure takes you and tis stunning little piece of your beautiful art!!!
