Day of Memories

Steven
It's been nineteen years
and we miss you.

Many of you out there
know as well as us
the pain of loss never leaves
we just learn to live with it.

And we try to remember the beautiful times.

Something Beautiful Remains

The tide recedes but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down
but gentle warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops
and yet it echoes on in sweet refrain.
For every joy that passes
something beautiful remains.

  11. I had the privilege of meeting Steven at the Ontario College of Art. He was a very talented artist and had a larger than life personality. I was blessed and honoured to have met Steven.

I will always cherish our friendship.

    God Bless,
    Stephen

  13. It's interesting how we so often turn to poetry at our low poins and our high points as we journey through life.
