Reverting to the Machine

For a few weeks now I've been
stitching and stitching and stitching

Covering cloth with row upon row of machine made stitch

Meeting a deadline

in a weak attempt to reproduce part of
a JEH MacDonald painting.
I hope I don't have to do something like this again!
Not my cup of tea.

  2. Wow! It may not be your cup of tea but it looks wonderful! Although I love your scratchings best of all :)

    1. Why, Thank you Angela! Perhaps the scratchings are more meaningful than reproduction of a painting.

  3. It's certainly intriguing, and doesn't look "weak" to me, although I agree that attempting to reproduce painting with machine stitches is probably making life difficult for yourself!

  7. Glorious colours, Penny! I think JEH would be flattered. Is this another of the huge group efforts like the one I saw at Greenwood Quiltery in Guelph ON last year? Great!
