Sometimes a week takes on a completely different character.
It seems to have been a week about applying layers.
I suppose I am multi layered!
The art of throwing bleach around!
I added a piece of knitting
and wove more threads into it to bring it under control
Friday turned into a doodle day
Finally cut into a favourite old shirt and threw a strip on my scratchings.
Thinking of how Christmas will soon be upon us
I cut baubles out of luscious red velvet.
A week of adventures and experiments..!
ReplyDeleteFun
DeleteWonderful, colourful scratchings!
ReplyDeleteLove the red baubles. What an amazing cloth diary this is. I've been enjoying your scratchings this year. Will you keep going next year?
Sending lots of Christmas Cheer,
Jacky xox
Yes, Jacky, hope to continue next year scratching away.
DeleteGlad your enjoying it.
And Christmas Greetings back to you too.
this way of marking time makes good sense to me, a discipline i really enjoy watching develop.
ReplyDeleteWhat surprises me is I can't keep up the discipline of a written journal...but this I love doing.
DeleteNice work, Penny. Like the Throwing bleach around! My Darling Mum used to be EXCELLENT at that when we were little! Odd white splotches everywhere on our clothes!
ReplyDeleteNow that is quite a childhood memory!
DeleteBeautiful colours and such interesting textures with both the fabrics and the stitches you have used.
ReplyDeleteIn regard to your previous post: Life Cycles, it seems to be a stage that I am also at, adjusting to both my parents & my MIL ageing and also watching our young adult children becoming more & more independent.
It's not easy watching your parents age and your children spread their wings.
DeleteSo bright and cheerful. You have a wonderful knack for both color and stitching.
ReplyDeleteIt's getting to be a bright and colourful family season isn't it.
DeleteLove all the close ups...makes me want to touch. :)
