We walked a yellow carpeted woodland
among rocks as big as mountains
and trees covered in layers of fungus
We reached the lake as grey as the sky
The rusty pups rested
as we marvelled at reflections
Walking back we stopped at the river full to the brim
even the RP's wanted to see
Love those tree trunks/roots in the last picture. Always brings to mind a stitchery.

DeleteThat fungus is magnificent! There has to be an art piece in that somewhere, along with the tree roots. The happiest of belated birthdays to the rusty pups! Hope they each got a special bone to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I take the photos! And no...surprisingly the RP's are not interested in bones but they got sardines for supper!
