Layers of colours and textures
A wave of rusty grasses
A pair of rusty pups who turned five on Halloween
There is something beautiful about straw coloured grasses,
red autumn leaves,
purple mountains and dark grey clouds.
I hope all in Sandy`s path are safe
For us up here we are grateful
to be only on the edge of it.
Happy Birthday to the RPs!
ReplyDeleteGrasses tossing in the wind make a wonderful sight.
Thanks Rachel! I've always loved grasses.
DeleteBeautiful colors! Happy Birthday to two beautiful pups :)
ReplyDeleteThey got a treat of sardines in celebration!
DeleteLovely, lovely. I have tons of pics from our trip -- just have to go through them and get some of them onto my blog. Grasses figured prominently in some of them.
ReplyDeleteIt's tough deciding which ones to post isn't it!
DeleteSo the RPs are brothers? Cool. Love the grasses, those wonderful hues. And your stitching never ceases to amaze me!
ReplyDeleteSisters!
Deleteoh the grasses and their colors. despite the wind, they seem calm. maybe it's just the colors....
ReplyDeleteI think they are protected a bit in that location from the high dike that runs between them and the wind!
Deletegorgeous colours up there, and i wish the pups well for another 5 years at least.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to come down there for the next few months to get away from the cold.
DeleteBeautiful layers, Penny. Happy birthday to the pumpkin Pups. My girl Flossy will be 5 in January. xxoo, sus

ReplyDeleteI saw your piece in the World of Threads show. It looked great.
The festival of exhibitions is really very stimulating.

Hope your show went well and that all the graduates were satisfied.
Deletetake care. we missed it (it missed us), too, but there's been a change towards autumn.
ReplyDeleteOh, good...I was thinking of you and your herons up there! Yes, it has turned colder and a lot of leaves blew away.
DeleteReally gorgeous photographs, Penny! And I love the spool of days. . .
