Couldn't resist ....
....it came home with me....

Should have seen us try to get it going!

Holy Mackerel.....How did we keep that thing twirling back in the day?!

  1. it's all in the motion in the ocean...i think we twist and shout better when we are young.

i thought you were going to say you were going to use it for an embroidery hoop...or a circle template...not for what it really is. ha!

  3. My old work place got several of this new kind of hoop that are weighted more and different sizes...this helped! But, I'm still horrible at it!
Although, I have at times in the past, warped a regular old hoop and made it available for children to weave on! It's great fun...try it!

  4. Nancy-I've been intrigued by the idea of a hula-hoop as a frame for weaving.

I recently tried one of the hula-hoops on the playground. It was sad... :)

  6. I have absolutely no idea. These days I would probably fold up in pleats of laughter, and that would be it!

  7. Oh the memories! I used to love twirling a hoola-hoop. Challenging each other to see who could go the longest. Now, I'd end up in bed for a week if I tried that! I think it'd be much safer to use it for weaving!

  8. I keep trying, but as you probably imagine, my attempts bring more laughter than twirling.
Might well end up as a weaving or an embroidery!

  9. Not sure how well my back would handle it now, but just think how good it would be for keeping fit! You go, girl - twirl up a storm.

  10. I was never able to twirl a hoola-hoop, as I was never able to twist dance, must be something in my hips!
