who served as a doctor
but come home early from the trenches suffering from TB.
I was a baby when he died and I so regret not getting to know him.

    1. When I was young we thought they might be last generations to sacrifice so much but now we know every generation since have sacrificed oh so much in too many wars.

  2. Penny Berens ?? this name we have here in Flanders Belgium aswel. you life in Canada , and you celebrate aswel on 11 nov. people died in the war ?

    1. We are living in an age of instant photos aren’t we. Photos from before that are so easily lost and damaged. You are right I am lucky to have a well preserved collection.
