It's been quite a year hasn't it.
Perhaps as I stitched this one I was thinking
or trying to think of the blessings
rather than the negatives
of this very strange year.
My goodness
as I write this I realize it is already 2017 in Australia!
2016 is fading into history.
Thank you for supporting my writings about the work I do.
I am happy to share!
Just a reminder that if you post a comment
I respond via email
simply because that is the way I have set things up
and it works for me.
See you in 2017!

i always enjoy the doings on the east coast...penny, your stitching is absolutely marvelous.
ReplyDeleteLove your "spider stars" Penny
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you and family for the new year 2017 !
Thanks for keeping me entertained, Penny! You're work is scrumptous, as usual! I may even steal a bit of your "crumb" idea in 2017. I'm thinking mixed media crumbs, with a combination of beads, found objects and stitch. I hope you don't mind! It came to mind, as I started the dig-out of my very messy spare room (aka stoodio). Thanks and have a very happy new year!!
ReplyDeleteNew fallen snow, with its hush and fresh clear air, is the perfect metaphor for a clean slate.
ReplyDeleteWishing you peace and happiness in the new year!
such a beautiful closure for your year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year from the LAand Down Under
I've talked to very few people who 'liked' 2016 -- and sad to say I'm not one of them. I'll be very glad to see its back. I wish for all of us a calmer, peaceful, thoughtful new year!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Penny! Blessings for a healthy, happy and creative year...and thank you for blessing us with the beauty of your work.
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed following your stitching this year .....Happy New Year from Australia and a new year of wonderful stitches
ReplyDeleteYour crumbs have fascinated me all year - each one so different and yet related. Hope 2017 is a happy, health, and love-filled one for all of us.
ReplyDeletei like this one. it is rather quiet isn't it. do you get dry snow? here in the northwet, the snow is so burdened with moisture.
ReplyDeletei think your emails are gobs more personal, so thank you!
as i write this, you have had the midnight hour come and go already. So New Year To You Penny!
Your post was wonderful for the new year! I am so glad to have found your blog. I am inspired to stitch and play- my goal for this new year. Thank you for who you are and what you do!
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me from the first time I met you at the Fibre Arts Retreat. I even took on a challenge to create a small piece of hand work each day for a year. Loved seeing your crumbs and this last one is intriguing. Looking forward to what you come up with for 2017.
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteMay 2017 be blessed for you and your family. The white on white is soft and touching with a purity. I am inspired to create some cruciform pieces this year. Will let you know when I do so that I may give credit to you.
And may "your" days be filled with blessings! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteA lovely crumb to finish the year Penny. Happy 2017. xx
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely - even if it's taken me several days to get here!
