The fifteenth to join the group
A crossroads amidst tiny scraps.
I do enjoy sewing those wee bits and pieces together.
The white crossroads looked too stark to begin with
so I thought back to my sun piece of a few years back.
My response then had been to fill the sun with blanket stitch
so I decided on the same stitch here.
Not a very good image
but the only image I can find at the moment.
Surely I took more pictures of this piece.
I hope so because it now lives somewhere else.
Obviously you can never take enough photos of your work!
They are getting more and more intricate, love what you are doing great.
ReplyDeleteReally like the blanket stitch as a fill ... will definitely keep it in mind
ReplyDeleteI'm also quite intrigued by your tiny crumbs
a simple stitch can change the look of things, so easily, yet looks complicated.
ReplyDeletei actually laughed out loud at your "...enough photos of your work". i noticed yesterday that my backup drive had 6K plus photos on it, my husband scoffed, that's not the half of them buddy.
I love sewing with tiny scraps! It is why I have totes of tiny scraps that I can't bear to throw away.
ReplyDeleteTaking photos of your work is always a good idea - even better if, unlike me, you actually remember to save them for future reference!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you have toned down your crossroads with blanket stitch. Blogging has been good for me because it has made me take more photos of my work! xx
ReplyDeletei do like a good crossroads!
