Crumbs from the Cutting Room Floor.....

....sometimes don't come out as beautiful
as one imagined!

I thought I would challenge myself to solid stitching....
....Obviously not my thing!
Even as I stitched I felt it becoming heavier and heavier.
That is why the right 'arm' didn't get filled in completely.
It was done during week seven of this year.
Perhaps something was weighing on my mind!

A little house with a red door
is bound to need protection
under a weathervane cross.

So this week the pendulum swung the other way.
I wanted a light cross
and so simply drew it on.
Feeling less oppressed!

Yesterday March 'blew' in like a lamb
a beautiful sunshiny, windy day.
The snow has all disappeared
but people say a storm is on it's way
for the weekend.

  2. Our March came in like a lion!
I think you will find that the Crumbs will all settle in together as they increase in number!

  3. I like the difference in little stitches.I can see why you found the heavily stitched one difficult to like.

  4. Fun little sticheries! The title of your post made me think of a book of poetry - wouldn't that be a perfect title?

  5. I agree with Magpie -- you could make a little book of your stitchery's and call it "Crumbs from the Cutting Room Floor". I truly love your stitching -- its always brings a bit of peace to my world.

  8. I enjoy your stitches, isn't it funny how they mean different things to different people? The color and texture are very soothing and comforting to me.
