Just took a few scraps of cloth with me
and a knotted bundle of left over threads.
Knew I wouldn't have much time to stitch.
Kept it simple
Stitched with my scrappy threads
Coloured in squares
with simple, simple stitches
crosses and squares
squares
circles
crosses
dots and dashes
diagonals
vertigals
and now it is June already.
happy happy meditative stitching
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely, quiet and easy to do while grand child watching.
ReplyDeleteI had to chuckle reading your words "kept it simple". Most of us would say "if that's simple, what is complicated". Its beautiful, as always and a lovely tribute to your time with family.

ReplyDeletei just love to see your work Penny... everytime you do it makes me want to start.....I think thats the problem .. i don't know how to start... Do use one layer of material or do i need multiple layers to make it sturdy enough to sew on...? Do you use an embroidery hoop...? Can you help get me started? Hugs! deb
