Snow Smothered Scratchings

The snow...and the wind...
just won't let us be

Monday was the day we had to go up the valley
Monday was the only day it didn't snow.
Lucky

Mountains of snow building up in the garden.
Snow-shoeing round the garden has been the only exercise this week.
Had to cancel play day with Diane
but fooled around with weaving.

Boring!

Getting ready for Super Bowl party all day.

Weaving was the most fun.

  2. Feeling a bit of the snow and wind here today, Penny, but winter to date is much nicer than last year.
    Keep warm ;)

  3. I'm sure you must be getting tired of this winter -- hopefully February won't be quite at bad. Meanwhile you're doing some incredible stitching!

  7. I agree with Chris...weaving is always fun....well...done on this scale. {haven't done anything bigger than 8 x 10 myself}

    I am not to sure I agree that the doily is boring, did you think about weaving in/on that also? I have considered doing it to some of my own doilies, those made by me and my grandmother.

    I like the palette for this last week...rather bleak...probably would be more uplifting if I said mellow...but then I would have to add the word 'yellow' and then a few song notes...and then....

  8. I love the way the tiny little squares add such texture, and the various stages of thread weavings are delicious!
