And so another year starts
Flowers for a fresh start
Happy Birthday Donna!
It snowed
then it rained
then it snowed
Ice beneath snow is not easy to cope with
It snows and snows and snows
while the wind blows and blows and blows
Spent the day at Diane's playing with soy wax
but also watching hundreds of water birds
feeding on the basin
as
the eagles soared high, high above.
Staying indoors out of the cold
weaving up some threads
Threading some beginnings.
Happiest New Year Penny! And to the family... hoping the baby is doing beautifully! Your gorgeous stitches are so very inspiring... be well, be happy and creative.

A good start indeed. It's so good to have something pleasing to concentrate on amid the rain, the snow, and (here at least) the wild winds!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful start to what I hope will be a beautiful year for you.
ReplyDeleteI am so inspired by these beautiful stitches!
ReplyDeleteLoving your little weaving, it looks ancient, in a good way of course.
ReplyDeleteWell the year is off to a fabulous start! I particularly love the weaving.
ReplyDeleteSo many different ideas in this piece. You are a great inspiration. Love it.
ReplyDeleteAhhh these new scratchings look quite different ...
ReplyDeleteLove them, with all the extra pieces on it :-)
Love the addition of the weaving bit. I recall scratchings of years past that were mere lines, dots or marks. It has been so fascinating to watch them morph into complete stories over time.
ReplyDeleteLovely work! I especially like the spiral. Is the couching done separately and then you embellish with the other stitches? Or can you accomplish both simultaneously? Your work is so inspiring!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful icon for the eagle !
ReplyDeleteCold as *h*, here, can commiserate with your weather there ;)
