Work in progress
Don't you love how he has placed that background barn going off the picture
My favourites are always the Georgian Bay watery ones
Cool rocks at sunset
Leaning against the wall
Piled up against a wall!
Those are beautiful- the barn is my favourite. So talented!
ReplyDeleteThere is something about old barns isn't there.
DeleteStunning pieces.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maggi....not that I can take any credit for them!
DeletePenny... your artist's eye certainly always draws us in.
ReplyDeleteMark is an amazing artist in his own right. His work is important...contemporary, and focused on bringing his viewers a provocative look into what he sees and brings to life on canvas. These paintings are each so detailed and bring the many strong lines, shadow and shapes that help us recollect similar scenes we may have seen. The colour is glorious.
Bethany in Kingston
Glad you like them, Bethany. They certainly evoke Ontario don't they.
DeleteBeautiful! Its wonderful the way his eye, hands and heart project through the beauty of his work.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with your black and white birds, Penny.
DeleteWish I could turn up at the exhibition..!
ReplyDeleteMe too! Though I hate going to openings of my own shows!
DeleteStunning work.....love the colours, love the trees and love the barn.
ReplyDeleteThenks, Jenny...and thank you so much for dropping by.
DeleteAh, clearly talent runs in the family! I can't choose a favorite, I like them all...wish I could see them in person.
ReplyDeleteHe would love your rock piles, Starr.
DeleteSuch talent ! You must be so very proud !
ReplyDeleteYup!
DeleteSmitten with the second painting... lovely. So interesting to see someone else's completely different way of painting the forest. Love that!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, how different you two are! I suppose it is the difference between a brash young man and a beautiful wise woman!
DeleteSuch a talented family. I like the watery ones too :)
ReplyDeleteWater and rocks...what a combination!
DeleteThe way he captures the sunlight, that almost blaze, is magical. You must be very proud - and rightly so!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes!
