crunch...crunch...of our footsteps through first frosts, first freezes. Our first frost was last night. I love the silvery grasses! And if your woofers are anything like mine, Penny, they far prefer the cold weather. Both dawgs today went wild with glee. Is there anything much better than that silliness???
I love the picture with a few apples clinging to the tree. I live in apple country in Ontario and often see and take pictures of the same with the hopes of making a wall hanging of such.Nature has so much to offer and so inspires quilting. Thanks for sharing such beautiful scenery pictures.
brrrrrr indeed!
ReplyDeleteThe sun, when it comes out, is cooler nowadays.
DeleteI'm snuggled here with a hot cup of tea thinking that I'll walk later in the day (much later when the sun is high and things warm up a bit).
ReplyDeleteKnow what you mean...it is taking the sun longer to warm up the place isn't it!
DeleteI noticed some crab apples clinging tight onto bare branches today. They're very red this year!
ReplyDeleteAll the better for crab apple jelly?
DeleteWe still have amber leaves flying off the trees, but it won't be long before they've all fallen..
ReplyDeleteThe woodlands look really grey now.

ReplyDeleteI drove through the apple country around Colingwood this fall.
DeleteHere it's supposed to turn cold overnight...not a prospect I have any anticipation for.
