Coffee Break with a Polyphemus Moth!

We sipped coffee on the front porch
and noticed we had company

I find those hairy moth bodies fascinating
He slowly pulled himself out of the shadows...

...and warmed his magnificent wings in the sun
What a treat
Just look at those eyes

Rust appears everywhere
even in my art class homework!

  1. Lucky you!! I was JUST on the lookout this morning for polyphemus as it is "their time"... and because its a little lonlier around here without all the luna moths, but didn't find one! Alas, I did here!

  4. Wow! Lucky you to be entertained while relaxing with your cup. Most people would never even look at a moth except for a passing glance. Don't you wonder what the story is on the moth having those wonderful eyes?

  7. The moth is beautiful, Nature knows how to make things: look at those lines and curves, at those colours!
