Lupins rule here in the Maritimes
The irises are magnificent as always
Swaying in early summer breezes
Fresh fir cones are forming
and soon the breeze will blow their pollen
coating everything in yellow.
Last year's seed pods
still dance above the new ones forming.
Lovely to see your new Summer flowers.
ReplyDeleteAnd reading your blog from down under fills our white winter months with colour.
DeleteThe last two photos are grand!
ReplyDeleteLupines are a favorite of mine...ever since reading this favorite book to my children years ago!

Just googled that book, Nancy. Must remember it when I get grandkids!
DeleteYou are having a wonderfully beautiful spring!
ReplyDeleteSpring, Summer and Fall....short and precious up here!
DeleteWe had such torrential rains here the other evening - 4 + hours of thunderstorms - that some of my lupine are lying flat on the ground :(
ReplyDeleteYour world is in bloom!
Sometimes it seems to me that those heavy rains just wait until my favourite flowers bloom....!
DeleteBountiful already!
ReplyDeleteWe had massive fir cone dust this season...I sort of like their thin blankets on everything. But those irises?! None like this 'round my place ~ ooooh, you're lucky to have those beauts ;>]]
This year seems to be a good one for irises. I know what you mean about the yellow dust....it kind of reminds you that nature will prevail.
DeleteYes, everything seems to be coming in to full swing. Hooray spring!
ReplyDeleteIt's a very good spring for flowers it seems.
DeleteI am curious to see if and how you are going to stitch these beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the flowing lines of the iris could create a gorgeous abstract.
DeleteWhat lovely rich colours!
ReplyDeleteThe plants that bloom are loving this cool spring we are having.
