I love my studio
and within that studio I keep things that inspire me
woody gifts from the sea
in little piles on windowsills
sticking out of bowls alongside feathers
or standing tall in flowerpots
Some show evidence of high density critter living
or road maps well travelled
Funny how they avoided the rusty bit too.
They're lovely. There's something about driftwood that you don't get elsewhere. (Even when it's been badly eaten!)

DeleteOh, I miss beachcombing in Nova Scotia! Such rich pickings. One of these days we will holiday there again. Soon, I hope, before I get too old to bend over to pick things up đ
