Weaving Threads

Finished this weaving last week...
just before the flu hit me.

My second weaving.
Very addictive......watching textures grow with each woven line.

My rusted string is of course a favourite.
Who the heck gets a flu in June?!
And it seems to be one that won't let go.
No stitching being done in my house.
Darn it....
I'm back to bed!
Apologies for not being on-line and communicating.

  5. your weaving is similar to the
sandstone layers we see here in
the southwest. i think of the
    earth's richness and layer upon
layer of color in your piece...
also love the warp you chose. what is it?
    so lovely!

  16. Beautiful weaving. Sending healing thoughts and energy and wishing for a speedy recovery. With the odd seasonal weather we have had this year, it does not surprise me that even the flu bug is confused. I hope you feel better soon.

  17. Just came across this post...hopefully you are all better by now! Your weaving is amazing! What kind of loom are you working on? This gives me the idea to connect small weavings from my little loom. Mmmmm...
Anyway, I really love what you've done here...the colors, textures, shapes, wood and so on!
    Beautiful.
