Tree Stitching
Today the tree looks like this. Scraps of fabric stitched down for the trunk. Branches of either split stitch or back stitch. Now I need to work out the rest of the piece!
Oh, so much fabulousness, so early in the morning!!! You've definitely captured the spirit of the tree, but does the eye like what you've done so far? I believe that it's watching your progress and will attempt to influence the outcome. Do you suppose that it's a wychwood tree!!
Penny this is fantastic - every limb seems to have its own symmetry and dance; and they all work together to make such a beautiful harmonised whole. Gilly
Thanks for visiting everyone. Apologies for my inability to respond to most of you individually..I am finding that a frustrating feature of Blogspot.
you know I never noticed the eye until Kaite and AM mentioned it! So unconsciously I have obviously included a tree spirit; but the tree was initially supposed to be moi.
and i can see an eye looking out at me - is this going to be a greenman face (or brownman)? k.
