I know it sounds strange to look in the cemetery but they have huge old walnut trees in one section and they wreak havoc with the lawn mowers, so they don't mind people taking them. Now I just have to figure out what to do with them in order to make ink.Magpie's Mumblingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09852241848575954128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-639265697684362917.post-25479462976458013852010-09-01T19:29:38.594-03:002010-09-01T19:29:38.594-03:00damn, i just wrote you a very long explanation of ...damn, i just wrote you a very long explanation of why the silk took up most of the dye and it disappeared when i went to enlarge your pic. The short answer is that the silk protein attracted and held as much as it wanted, and then what was left over went to the others. cheers, kaitekaiteMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16299002622308267375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-639265697684362917.post-14830910297044102492010-09-01T15:44:12.785-03:002010-09-01T15:44:12.785-03:00Hi Penny, yes I think it is the protein in wool an...Hi Penny, yes I think it is the protein in wool and silk that makes the dye take well.
