At 72, I am in the process of retiring from an intense field, and I am hoping to "be creative" in my retirement. At the very least, I want to finish a quilt for each of my children, because I see that is how they are remembering my mother.
But, I am drawn to embroidery and I think that working every day is useful. I am drawn to "Stitching Calmly."
I gather that you started stitching every day; initially, you were prim and proper and very orderly, and somehow you expanded to the beautiful pieces you are sharing today. You were once precise and now you are free flowing.
Any thoughts for a beginner? Did you start with certain size of cloth? any special cloth? Backing? (I'm a quilter) Specific threads/yarns?
Anything you would do differently?
Thanks for reading this far.
MarieShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11623995753703507260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-639265697684362917.post-3716202226166616782015-12-08T17:04:26.881-04:002015-12-08T17:04:26.881-04:00As usual your stitching is a huge inspiration.
